Amazon rocks. I have been buying from Amazon for several years. From the other reviews I have read here, misunderstandings abound. The prices are often the best, or close to it, even though they include free shipping. One of the reasons is because they don't have to pay a lot of customer service people. You order online and they don't give you a lot of hand holding. What they lack in hand holding they make up for in customer service policies. They take returns on most items for up to 30 days, no questions asked. On the few times, out of over 200 purchases, that I received damaged goods, which isn't their fault, they immediately sent out a replacement, without even charging my card, and they sent it 2nd day air at no additional charge. They explained to me that all I needed to do was send back the damaged item within 30 days, and they provided a return address label. (Even the return postage was covered either through a postage prepaid label, or one that they reimbursed when they received it.) They didn't charge for the replacement shipping either. Twice the second shipment was damaged as well, and they gave me the option of returning both at no cost to me whatsoever, and receive a full refund, or they gave me the option of an additional ten percent discount, and any parts that I would need at no cost. Considering that most retailers would be putting you through a 30 day damage claim responsibility, this is heaven in comparison. They take care of everything. I also find their reviews to be the best. Sure sometimes you get a review from someone who doesn't have a clue, but that is what makes Amazon so great. They publish the review anyway, even though the person might be unjustifiably slamming Amazon, and the product. Oddly enough people look to the other reviewers, and get the full picture. You can reach Amazon actually by phone for customer service. All you have to do is call 1-800-555-1212 and ask for Amazons number. (I'd give you Amazons number, but you might forget it when you need it, so it is easier to remember the 800 directory number) Since they don't advertise the number, you never have a wait for customer service, so don't pass the word around. :-) As far as pricing is concerned, they are often times the best price, and sometimes it is available locally at a slightly better price. When you factor in the convenience and free shipping on orders over 25 dollars on most items, you can beat the combination. If I had to be critical of them, their servers don't show tracking numbers very often. When they do you get more information with a copy and paste and go into the UPS.com site. I often call the 800 number and they are happy to track down the number for me. I think their review format is ingenious. I encourage everyone to help others in knowing what experience you have had with a product. Amazons explanation of their products is not the most extensive, but the reviews make up for it. Every manufacturer thinks their product is the best, or at least tells you it is. When you read reviews coming from others who have actually used the product, then you know what the real skinny is. You see the time I am spending telling you about Amazon. I take the same amount of time when I write a review. I am having fun watching my Amazon rank grow. It is more than a shopping experience. It is a people experience. Skip the extensive hand holding, and enjoy the great prices and super service. Pick free shipping on checkout, and expect to get your order in about a week or less. I have been buying from Amazon for several years now and have been impressed witht the efficiency and organiztion of this service. I have always been one who likes to get a good deal on a product, but through several different purchases on several different websites, I learned that security and reliability is a major aspect to keep in mind while shopping on the internet. I have had horrible experiences using websites that are not an organized company (as they may say they are). When spending my money online I want to be able to trust the company I am paying. There has been times when I will not recieve and order of it will be backordered inevitably. Sometimes websites will not refund you for your purchases and state that they are not responsible for shipping and handling problems. That excuse is used quite frequently and is complete bogus. I know from being a seller over the internet myself that I am in fact VERY responsible to whatever happens during shipping and handling. Normally you can not proove yourself to a customer with the excuse "it got lost in the mail", thus how does the customer truly know whether or not their item was sent to begin with. On Amazon I can check on my shipping status, know my account information is secure, and have always recieved my package early then the estimated date. Sometimes Amazon can be more expensive then other places, but the quility of their items is always in excellant condition. The only negative I can think about Amazon is that I think they charge a bit much for shipping, HOWEVER you can order $25 worth of items and recieve free shipping. I do this, but always in return I am spending more then I meant. Amazon is my top outlet for buying over the internet. Not once, have I EVER been disastified with my purchase. They are reliable, have great customer service, relatively low prices, fast shipping, secure, and provides a easy to understand return service. Do not be confused with buying used products over Amazon and comparing the experience with those sellers as an actual purchase from Amazon. That is just a way a person can sell their products online and make some profit. Amazon tries to make sure all sellers are reliable and trustworthy. There is ways to file complaints and they provide a feedback area where a customer can see the sellers reputation. Amazon uses this method to attrack more people and to grow in business. If your looking for cheap and don't care about the condition or service you recieve then eBay is probably more up your alley. If your looking for fairly priced and good quality product Amazon is the place to go. I can't think of a better experience with any other company over the internet that has had the same effect on me as Amazon has. Since Amazon.com started, I have been ordering from Amazon regularly, all kinds of books and even electronics -- wireless networking gear and computer monitor -- everything was well packed and delivered on time and without a hitch. Amazon is very labor-intensive to set up to work for you. It works best when you've fed their computers vast amounts of data about your preferences, and set up your account with one-click priveleges so you can buy with one-click. This is a long, tedious procedure and exceptionally boring. As a result, if you don't have time, you should look at their affiliates such as simegen.com, where people who have worked at it give you the results of that labor free. When you've got amazon.com programmed with your preferences, you have a personalized bookstore that stocks just exactly what you want or will want once you look it over. You can look inside a lot of the books, and read very well done customer reviews and editorial reviews. When you want to find something you haven't been previously interested in, it's remarkably easy using a wide variety of tools such as Lists and Guides written by other customers, their cross-indexed subject listings, author searches, and handiest of all the "customers who bought this book also bought" list, and the "customers who shopped for this also shopped for" listing. I also like the feature that shows you what other books are "like" the one you've been looking at, and the "page you made" listing that keeps track of what you've been looking at today. The shopping cart lets you save things for later and buy other things now. And you also have a wish-list you can handily move into your shopping cart. Their computer will keep you up on other items like what's in your wish list or shopping cart. Obviously, some people have had difficult experiences getting orders filled from amazon, and they are going to be more vocal than the millions of satisfied customers. If you have a hard experience, it should be worth your while to try again, maybe make yourself a new account. When amazon works right, it works superbly. But even if you don't buy from amazon, program their computers with your preferences and shop them first. They'll even send you an email when your favorite author's next book comes out. Amazon is the book-lovers dream-store! (which is not to say you might not find the item cheaper elsewhere, but no tax, no shipping, and one-click ordering are worth something.) Full Review

I wonder at the negative reviews displayed below. They must be speaking of a different Amazon, because it surely isn't the company I've dealt with dozens of times over the years. I go back over and over to Amazon for the simple reason their prices and service are second to none. And I've bought through their Marketplace as well, with fine results. The one time I received a product that didn't meet my needs, a brand new book but the wrong edition, the vendor without hesitation refunded my money. Questions to these vendors are answered, if not instantly, within a few days. I never use the One-Click ordering for the simple reason I WANT to view each step in the transaction to see how taxes and delivery are handled. One isn't required to use the feature, so it seems a bit absurd to criticize Amazon when one has chosen to use it. I read a great deal of simply silliness below. I say grow up! Whether its my WishList, the retention of shipping addresses and credit card information, even recommendations for products that might interest me, Amazon makes the process of shopping and purchasing remarkably seamless. There is a reason they are one of the most successful commercial sites on the internet... they deliver quality service and reasonable prices. I just wanted to let everyone know about my experiences with Amazon. I have ordered books from them for years...way back when they only sold books. I can tell you, from personal experience, that they are much better about having the item you order, packing is securely, and shiping it promptly, than their leading competitor. The books are always received in perfect condition and in a timely manner. I have also ordered used books and really appreciate the fact that they list the availability of used, or even new books available from other sellers, at lower prices,right there with their listing. I have been able to save over 70% in many cases and pay for them through Amazon. Now that's easy! The only drawback I have had is not being able to contact them by phone. All of these years, no problems...but if I ever do, I'll have to see if e-mail is satisfactory in resolving problems. I prefer to call a customer service rep in most cases, but I guess that's another way they keep costs down so I won't complain. Full Review

If you order from amazon.com you get amazingly fast service and superior packaging. They now have an optional membership program where for a flat annual fee you can get free standard shipping or $3.99 overnight delivery. They also have a marketplace of thousands of merchants allowing you extremely low prices in many cases. When you use a marketplace merchant you are covered by amazon. If one of these merchants gets poor ratings they are soon gone. The nice thing is that even if these merchants deliver substandard merchandise or fail in some other way and you can't resolve the problem, amazon.com will refund your money. All marketplace merchants are rated by amazon customers. If you select those with high ratings it is rare that you will ever have to contact amazon to recover your money. As far as I'm concerned there's no easier or better way to get what you want. Also, chances are good that if you can't find it anywhere else you will it on amazon. Full Review

Amazon's EDLP and convenience have made a trip to a bookstore a rare event in my life. I also like amazon's product-rating program, wherein people who bought a product can rate it on a 1- to 5-star basis and/or by writing a review, so the potential customer can see if one person's poison is his manna. The rating process is lightly monitored to prevent abuse - a good thing. By participating as a rater, amazon's referred me to "books I might like" and I've discovered several new (to me0 new authors. I also sell and buy used books via amazon, and have never experienced a problem. I do warn people who want to sell books there that amazon takes a hefty commission on the sale, although you're likely to obtain a much higher gross sale than on eBay. [A]mazon offered me a new program a few months ago whereby paying a large annual fee (less than $100) my family and I don't have to pay any S&H. They seem actively committed to keeping me a happy customer. Full Review

I've seen a number of poor reviews for Amazon, and can't quite figure out why. I've been using them for quite some time, I order from them frequently, and have never had a problem. Often, I'll search all over for items, and almost always find amazon with the lowest price. Add this with the free super saver shipping (not guarenteed for over a week, but rarely takes that long). The last item i purchased had a delivery estimate of Feb 9-11. I'm writing this on the 3rd and already have it. They also have locations across the country so they can get it to you quickly and cheaply from anywhere. Purchases are easy, with recommendations of what goes with things in your cart, an option to save items for later, and one click buying (once you set it up, it makes things a lot easier, just click and go). The only reason customer service doesn't get 5 stars is because i've never had any need to use it, everything goes through perfectly. Full Review

I've shopped with Amazon before and gotten wonderful service. I recieved a book, damaged (during shipping?) It was a gift and I did'nt want to give a book with a bent corner. They sent me a new one within a week. And it was a hard to find, older title in hardcover. Good job, Amazon. Recently, I ordered two books and a cd. I got everything promptly and in good condition. I think that given the size of the company they do a pretty good job of keeping track of things. If there is a shipping problem, keep in mind it might be thier provider, not them. As for prices, sure if you don't order the minimum you pay for shipping, but if you buy $50 worth of product it does'nt cost anything to ship it. Save your pennies and shop for everything all at once. You can usually find anything cheaper at Walmart but I live in a small town and don't feel like driving 2 hours to get to one. Not with gas so expensive. I LOVE Amazon. Full Review

I have made well over 100 purchases from Amazon.com over the last 5 years or so and have always been pleased with their service. Their shipping is the quickest in the business and often times, it's free. The selection of products is phenomenal and for books, you can't beat it. I have gotten numerous good deals on used books there as well. I have had one problem with defective merchandise. It was a home theatre system. I was able to print out a UPS mailing label on the Amazon.com site. I repacked the merchandise, put on the label, went to the nearest UPS store and they took it from there. I received a full refund and didn't have to pay for the return shipping. Granted, there are some items I don't buy from Amazon because I can find it cheaper elsewhere, but as far as web merchants go, Amazon is the tops!!! Full Review

I've read some of the other Amazon reviews.... The value of Amazon: 1) Has all the goods - lots of choice. 2) Has lots of shipping options - and yes if you are cheap and want free delivery - it is slower! Duhh! But at least they can get it to you the next day if you need it or a couple of days if you are more relaxed. 3) Simple, easy and intuitive user interface. Easy to navigate web site. If you are going to buy goods online - you really can't do much better than Amazon. They are not perfect, but they are better than most. I've made dozens of purchases with Amazon and never had a bad experience. Even when I have received something that was damaged in shipping, I returned it and quickly got a replacement, no questions asked. On the down side - Amazon makes it too easy for me to spend my money. :-P Full Review

i've been buying from them for years. its easy to change or cancel pruchases, i don't know what some people are saying about not being able to do this. you do have to find the correct way to get the information to them and go through the right channels. this can be hard for some of us who are a little older and didn't grow up with a computer already installed inside our brains like some people have (the geeks, you know who you are) :) but really amazon is the best. even if you're buying a used product from a private individual, they will stand behind the service. as far as delivery speed, i guess i've had some tremendous luck. it can be longer when purchasing privately through amazon, but still after the deadline for delivery you can get a refund very quickly and easily. I shop on internet many times, at different vendors, including Amazon.com. I have never had any problem with them, regarding orders, delivery, or anything else. I like the low price guaranty that they give, and most of all I like the FREE SHIPPING option on orders over $25.00. Elsewhere you have to look for, and read, the fine print regarding all the shipping and handling charges, but NOT at Amazon. They are pretty straight forward. What you see is what you get, and what you pay for. Usually the Free shipping option is good enough for me, since I received the staff ordered anywhere from 3 to 7 days. Of course, anyone can make mistakes and staff happens, but overall, I had only the best experiences with them. Now my daughter is shopping from them as well. Full Review

Amazon has bailed me out with my Christmas shopping for 3 years in a row. Everything I ordered came before the delivery date. No fuss, no muss. Have never had to return anything despite having ordered dishes and other fragile/breakable items. Their packaging is superb. I have only one beef. My son was given a gift certificate and he somehow fouled up during the ordering process. I tried to get it resolved and did not get reimbursed for his gift certificate. Somewhere in cyber space is a $75.00 gift certificate with my son's name on it and he has no purchase to show for it. However, I have ordered thousands of dollars worth of merchandise through Amazon and have been very happy with their service and speed. WOuld highly recommend this vendor to anyone. Full Review

I think that Amazon is a wonderful way to shop on the internet. Although they don't have control over the people selling you the product, they do have control over your money. I didn't recieve an item I had purchased, I contacted the seller twice, with no avail, I contacted Amazon. I e-mailed them with my story and they responded promptly. With their A-Z guarantee I couldn't go wrong. I was refunded my money within a couple of days so that I could purchase the item elsewhere. Where did I go? Back to Amazon to a different salesperson and had a wonderful expierience. The item was sent to me within the week. If you don't get satisfaction from this company, it's your own fault. Of course, there are different ratings from different Amazon customers, some of them good, some not. I can talk only about my personal experience buying from Amazon, and it was a very good one! Starting with what they have to offer, the prices , and including the shipping and especially the customer service. And no, I wasn't paid by Amazon to say this... I bought three weeks ago a LCD TV ( Real Digital RD2200 ). A very good price for a very good piece of gear. The item arrived EXACTLY as promised. I had also an inquiry to them, and the Customer Service responded surprisingly fast ( after two hours or so...), solving my problem. Once again, I don't know about others, but I NEVER had such a positive experience dealing with an online retailer. Full Review

There is nothing about Amazon I don't like. I have purchased items up to $1000.00 and have over 300 purchases. I have purchased everything from a cheap used book from merchants listing on Amazon to highly fragile items form merchants and from Amazon. They use superior packaging, the prices are great, free shipping is an awesome perk. I have only had one problem, with a dvd that had a cracked case and they shipped me a new one before I put the defective one in the mail the next day. I have never been anything but fully satisifed with Amazon, and they beat most sellers into the dust in my opinion with their protection for purchases, and communication during sales and shipping, and their website is unmatched online. I've always had a great time shopping at Amazon.com over many years. Although I'm not a frequent customer, their orders have always came ahead of delivery dates and I've had a great experience. There's 2 things that I don't like and they are that the shipping fees are more expensive than I think they actually are but most of the time I use Free Super Shipping so that's not a major problem. The second one is their toys department. It's hard to get to Amazon's toys (Yes they actually have a department) instead you get to R'Zone. From what I've seen, Amazon has cheaper prices than R'Zone and it's hard to get around that so I actually had to bookmark Amazon's toy department. Full Review

I only have one online site listed in my Favorite link which is Amazon.com. it's the best online shopping site so far in my experience. the rebate request comes the fastest than many others ie. bestbuy.com or circuitcity.com. now i only buy through Amazon. if i don't find things there, i rather wait. the delivery is fast, credit card transaction is reliable, packaging is professional. I can't even think of anything to complaint about Amazon, maybe it will be its stock price, i wish i have bought it when it was $9 in 2001. I have made multiple purchases on Amazon.com from books to cooking utensils all with no problem. I would always recommend buying directly from Amazon and not looking for "buy it used" third party sellers. Many reviews I have read here were scammed by third party sellers, not by Amazon itself, and that is why the phrase "Buyer Beware" was coined. Just like feedback on sellers at e-bay should be read, feedback on sellers on Amazon.com should be read too. Most importantly, remember that you are taking a risk every time you order online, unless you have the item in your hands you don't know what you are getting, ever. Full Review

I just wanted to say that Amazon has done nothing but great things for me. When they told me I had to wait two weeks for a delivery, I thought that stinks, but 3 days later, I received my item. I think the problem people are having seem to be on specific things like CD's and books, but Amazon has become a lot like ebay, where you are using different companies to get different items. Don't blame Amazon alone, there are companies in between that are to blame. The only difference between ebay and amazon is that you have to auction it on ebay and amazon is a buy immediately site. I have been using Amazon for years, and will continue to use them. The prices are right. The selection is good. I have never been disapointed. I have only had to return one item since I have been shopping on Amazon. It was a small washing machine that was faulty (I should have paid attention to the reviews). I contacted them about the return on a Sunday afternoon. Within 24 hours the machine was picked up. My refund was processed quickly. Even the items I have ordered from Amazon.CA (dvds of Canadian tv shows) have arrived quickly and earlier than expected. I will continue to be a loyal customer. Full Review

"Entre En La Red" was one of best computer book that I ever read. I bought it for my mom she did not know English, she learned computer in a very short time and now she can use email, surf the Web and enjoing life better. The very good things about this book is the 4 hours DVD that comes with it and that DVD helps a lot and make learning computer so easy, by using this book&DVD there is no need to go to the computer class. I highly recomend this book and DVD for everybody that wants to learn computer in a very short time and easy and fun way too. By the way, this is a very good gift too. Full Review

I have ordered from Amazon approximately 50 times and LOVE their selection and service. I've ordered everything from kitchen appliances to electronics to fashion to DVD's, so I've had a wide range of experience with them. I once had a very expensive item lost in shipment (I fought with the USPS for 2 weeks without any resolution) and Amazon sent me A BRAND NEW ITEM WITHIN 2 DAYS WITH NO PROBLEM AT ALL. I find their customer service to be exemplary and highly recommend them to everyone. I also sell my used books through them and am positively pleased with every aspect of their business. Full Review

I bought a Canon Powershot S400 with case and a compact flash card from Amazon two weeks ago. It was my first time purchasing stuff online. I got my stuff on time and in great condition. I used Free super saver shipping and it took about a week to get everything as expected. For some reason, they splited my order to two shippings with no extra cost. I received the compact flash card first and it was three days after i ordered it - super fast. On top of that, the camera is brand new as stated and it comes with warranty and everything. I'm a loyal customer of Amazon since 1998, they have plenty of products, in almost all cases they give detailed information and pictures. The payment is easy (i'm an international buyer). The shipping always delays a couple of days but they tell you that. The searching engine is excellent, you can search, can see similar products, can see other buyers recomendations and preferences. I have never had a problem with them, thats because I have never used customer service, except for one ocassion that I asked a question about a product I was interested but never got response. In the last three years, I have purchased about 15-20 books from amazon, and I find their customer service simply superb. The books sometimes do not reach in time because they send the boks through standard internatioinal shipping. However, their packaging of the books is great, and their after-sales service is also great. Once I ordered three books simultaneously, and one of the book was not available for immediate delivery. They sent the first two books on the same day and the third book after two days, and they did not charge me for postage for the third book. Full Review

I have used Amazon since 1998 and it was and still is the best online seller on the net. Their site is extremely easy to understand and move around without getting hung up or lost. They offer almost any product on the market at a fair price and customer service has responded and followed up on the two problems I had with shipments and I believe my purchases from Amazon is over 500 items. If I see something at another site, I go to Amazon and buy it because I know there will be no problems with the product. Full Review

I've purchased from Amazon for more than five years, and have purchased from their 3rd party stores for a couple years. If I ever had a problem with the 3rd party stores (and on one occasion I never received merchandise from a Z store)and complained to Amazon about them I was promptly refunded my money, no hesitation. That's the most I can expect of any online business, send me what I ordered or give me my money back. Amazon provides great customer service for an online business I use them first if I can. Over the past three years I've purchased DVDs, CDs, books, housewares, gifts, toys, and even phones (including service contracts) from the Bezos gang. The prices have always been reasonable. More importantly, in these dozens of transactions, I have never had a problem - not with the on-line ordering, or with shipping, and not with the order being exactly what I expected. I have ordered numerous items from Amazon over the the past few years and everything has always been at a great price, with fast shipping. If an items was back ordered, I was always notified immediatly when I placed the order. Even when I opt for the free shipping (which is supposed to be up to 9 days) I still get the items with in a week. One time the book I ordered was lost in shipping and upon contacting Amazon, they resent the book and refunded my money. I would recommend Amazon to anyone. Full Review

I have been ordering books, music, jewelry, toys and keeping a wish list with Amazon for several years. I have never had a problem getting my merchandise and it is always in good shape. I even pre-order books and always get them when promised. Amazon is the only on line store I order books and music from, they are the best, most competitive price wise and very dependable. They will even recommend books and music to you based on what you have bought in the past. Now how much better can it get?

i think amazon is great! when my tutor ask me what do i want for my birthday, i said: clavin and hobbes:the laazy sunday pages...i got it the way i want it! in one week[the time of my gift] , new[ not damaged, not even a small rip or scratch on the cover] , and all pages accounted for! so get stuff from this place cause it is safe and great! Recently ordered a digital camera (Canon S50) on Amazon and had no problems. The camera shipped from a different location than the extra battery and memory card, but both shipped within a day of placing my order. Shipping was free for the accessories, and very reasonable for the camera. Pricing was very competitive as well. I have ordered from Amazon many times in the past and have never had problems. Their stock status and estimates for time to ship have always been good.

I have rarely had any problems with Amazon, and never anything that was not immediately and satisfactorily addressed. I order a thousand dollars and more of stuff each year through them. If you find yourself paying more to buy something, you simply are not doing your own homework. The main reason I am writing is that I was astonished to see so many negative reviews! Of course, there is always more to any story, but Amazon's success and reputation speak for themselves.

My wife and I have used Amazon for many purchases (well over 100) over the last 4 years and never had a bad experience. Their return policy is very customer friendly. The ease of finding just the right item is the best there is and gets better every day. Their prices are rarely the lowest available but frequently are the lowest once free shipping is included in the total price. Delivery is usually prompt. Amazon gets our highest recommendation.

I've ordered many times from Amazon.com and have had good experience each time, books mostly, some software. They are the first site I check for many things. I've always gotten the things I ordered when they said. I've used the Super Saver Free Shipping and gotten products in less time than they stated. I do recommend not fooling with the buy used option because you're then dealing with someone else with less assurance of satisfaction.

My experience with amazon.com goes back to more than 7 years, and they always walked their talk. Cheaper prices, delievery on time or even before the estimated time sometimes. But, best of all the refunding when the price of the recently purchased item goes down. I only wish that there is more items to shop from amazon.com directly instead of the 3rd party sellers, to use more and more the Free super saving option they give.

Amazon.com sets the bar for book sales, and has plenty to offer in other categories as well (although their deals with retailers like Toys R Us take some quality control, pricing and tax issues out of their competent hands). They're usually cheapest, or at least close, and selection and shipping options are without peer. One flaw: buying from private party sellers is awkward, confusing and poorly integrated into the site.

A Crack In Forever was by far one the best books I have ever read. This story will take you on a journey of life and love. Alex and Eric will teach you hope that one day you will the find the kind of love that can survive even through death. You will go through the entire range of emotions with this book from laughter to grief. I read this book in two hours and have reread it probably 10 times. I recomend it to everyone!!

I have been buying books on Amazon since they arrived on the scene several years ago. I always look there first and usually find the best price. Now with super saver shipping, I save even more. I group my purchases in order to meet the minimum of $25 for this free shipping. I have also purchased some small appliances, dolls, telephones and dishes after doing research for best prices and Amazon beats them all.

I have ordered hundreds of items from Amazon, and never once has anything arrived late; in fact, items almost always arrive early. Don't pay any attention to any generic reviews on this list reporting them "too deceitful" or "unresponsive." Such claims are ridiculous. Amazon has incredible prices, low shipping charges, and almost anything you'd ever want to buy. Honestly, what the heck else do you want?

bought the olympus "clamydia" c-750 from amazon, but i noticed a pixel was out on the lcd screen. i was fine with that, but then noticed a pixel was also out on all the pictures the camera was taking. i let amazon know about it, and they sent a replacement right away (next day air). the new camera works fine and i'm very happy with it. this was another positive experience i've had dealing with amazon.

I'm a customer since 1998 and very happy ever sice. If you want a safe relliable service for online shopping... dont look anywhere else. This guys are really the best of online selling. You may be able to get a better price elsewhere... but maybe risky... I feel safe with amazon, and thats important to me. The cheap may result expensive somewhere else, I had the bad experience.

I ordered the Garmin Forerunner 201 runners watch from Amazon.com for $124.99 on February 26th. They offered free Super Saver shipping which was supposed to take 6-9 days. I figured it would take about 2 weeks to arrive at my house in Maui. I was surprised when it arrived on March 2nd. Wow! That's customer service. Amazon.com is the best when it comes to shipping. I have ordered many items from Amazon.com and have never had a problem. If an item was back ordered and I could not wait, I either waited or purchased the item locally realizing that they had no control over the availability of the item if it was back ordered. Standard shipping is my choice as Amazon.com has no control over the speed of the post office or UPS. Manchester, MO

Have been buying from them for about 10 yrs. Have never had a problem even when I have messed up my order. Customer service via email has worked fine. Get a reply w/in a day or so. + there customer product reviews have helped a lot on whether to buy or not. I live in AK and they do not ding me for being up here on delivery charges as other sites do.--Burnie9506

I have ordered 100's of items (books, DVD's, CD's, toys and electronics) from Amazon over the years. The service, shipping and selection have been flawless. The one order where there was an item missing from was resolved with one email, item sent immediately (with overnight shipping at no extra charge), no questions asked and an apology for the inconvience.

I've been ordering from Amazon for a few years now. Great service and product selection. I'd really love to support the little guy out there, but Amazon has so far been the best on prices for the things I need. One book from Barnes and Noble was twenty dollars more than what Amazon had it listed for. A shame, since B&N has wonderful service as well.
