I bought a 30 GB iPod a while ago and had a very pleasant experience with the Apple site. First, people complain about the prices, but I find that they are comparable with retail stores, or perhaps even better under certain circumstances (ie: I am a student, and therefore get the student discount). I had a few problems with my payment method (it was a personal mix up), but Apple kindly emailed me the next day outlining, in detail, the problem with payment. Then they gave me a number to call, where I was put on hold, but only for a couple of minutes. Once everything was cleared up financially, they sent the product which arrived the next business day. I'm planning on getting a Powerbook next, and will definitely be buying it straight from the company itself. Full Review

The Apple store is one of the best places to buy Apple products. They have pretty much anything you want from Apple, but you would have to go somewhere else for perephrials, like printers, ect. The price, actually, is not that bad- if you look at Apple's financial information, they actually only make around a 5% profit margin (compared to other manufacturers, such as Dell, which run over 10%) This just shows how much money is put into the product. I have an iMac from 1999- and it is still running strong, 6 years later! Breaking that down to a price per year and it only cost me $200/year to have this computer. As far as reliability, knowledgable staff, and value, the Apple store, or website, is a great way to go. Full Review

It's so comforting to buy my Apple directly from Apple. Apple Store let me add more memory and change the drive on my iMac G5 and they custom-built it for me. I knew they would do it right. This Holiday, I got to buy my brother a new iPod photo and Apple Store laser engraved a special message from my children, and the personalization was free! I also found out on their site that they'll match the price of other sellers, although they are already pretty competitive with the retailers I would trust with a major purchase. They shipped the iMac and the iPod for free, because they were each more than $50. That alone saved me a lot of money! Full Review

Apple is the best place to buy your ipod, because of their education discount. If you are a teacher, college prof. or college student you get a discount on almost all the Apple products you buy from them! The 20GB ipod is $30 off, which may not seem like that much, but to a college student it can be a whole weeks budget. Plus it gives you free shipping and free laser engraving, how could not love that? Yay for ipods!

I just purchased an iPod mini last Friday and was surpised at how fast it arrived. I was told by customer service that it was going to be arriving the end of the following week, but it actually came in the middle of the week. I would advise using the discounts that Apple is offering because it actually cuts down on the total price and won't burn a really big hole in your pocket.

Life doesn't get any easier than to buy direct from the Apple Store. Their sales people are so highly trained and their products are the best available in any category. Buying online is safe, secure and shipping is extremely fast. All in all, I feel better buying from Apple than any other merchant that sells comparable items.

i luv the green one because its prettty, but i like the mini's because i dont think anyone can get over 1000 songs, they are great because they have almost everything a regular does except more memory and some extra stuff. but i dont use that and i dont think many others have real use for it either. i luv the ipod mini's!!!

I just bought my ipod mini from the Apple Store last week!! It was nice to go into a store you've never been in an deal with people who new what they were talking about. I'm new to the whole ipod thing but I walked out with a better knowledge of what I was buying. It was a very pleasant experience :D!!

I bought the U2 iPod when it was announced. The site said it would take 3 weeks to ship, and it shipped out promptly three weeks later. I would recommend buying directly from Apple since you can use the same account you set up at the time of purchase later when buying music from iTunes.

I purchased two personalized Mini IPods for my kid's birthdays and they were delivered on time and very well packed and packaged. Apple emailed me with confirmations and shipping status. I was very impressed- they really have their act together.

I just ordered my iPod online on a Thursday night and received on the next Tuesday afternoon. So if you order one on a Monday, you should receive it that week. Mine is great, useful, and I love it. Well spent money!!!

Just bought 2 ipod minis from the Apple Store. As always, excellent staff with excellent service. Highly recommend buyers to go to the store (if in the area) and buy products after talking to the Apple staff.

Bought an iPod Nano and my nano accesories including an armband and lanyard. Got my stuff before any one else and had a great shopping experience. Also, Apple offers free laser engraving! Apple rocks!

The iPod Mini is Wonderful!!!!!!!!! But of course the iPod mini is more for kids or adults who have 500-1000 songs that they want on their iPod. But further on it is great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I bought an i pod in Sept. I had to exchange it due to a mulfunction. Apple sent a box the same day and in less than 10 days, I had a new i pod. Easy to deal with as well as effecient.

I had bought the Ipod Shuffle about 2 weeks ago from a retail store. From the day I bougtht it to today I found that the product satifaction varys from person to person. Many that buy the Ipod shuffle are attracted to the low price and the features of a large Ipod. Though some buy the shuffle for it's price some buy it for it's size. Some disadvantages come with it as well, like no screen to view your playlist and the errors that can occur when changing your playlist. I had a somewhat hard time buying my Ipod Shuffle in the stores. My cousin had an even harder time getting and competting with the many people that wanted to purchase one. But overall I rate this machine a 4.5. Full Review

I bought my ipod from apple.com and recieved it in less than a week. I also got my ipod personalized with its free engraving promotion which is priceless if you think about it. now no one can steal your ipod :) the delievery was actually an annoyance becuase they came to my house when i wasnt home and i had to go pick it up but thats not apple's fault. overall, if you are planning to get an Ipod, get it from apple.

I love my new ipod mini, but the price is AWFUL!!! the shipping's not that bad, but the overall price of it is rediculous. i prefer to get one, but not over the internet. It should cost like 50 dollars. Watch. the prices will go down when the ipod is out of style, when nobody's using them. it's your money.

The Apple Store is the one stop shop for everything Apple. The interface and usability are excellent but expect below average customer service and very long hold times if you have to call. Additionally, the website and physical stores do not play well together and whether you can return a product purchased online to a store seems to be up to the discretion of a manager at the store. Overall, this will always be the most expensive, least customer service oriented Apple site you will see, but the selection is unbeatable and generally speed of delivery is solid. Full Review

I bought this computer within a year. When I received it, the keyboard was kind of pushed up a little. I didn't think it is a problem so I didn't bring it back to Apple computer. Today, I found the metal part that close to the CD or DVD drive is distorted, and the battery won't fit to the place. I brought back to Apple, they said this is not under the warranty because they believe it was cause by drop. I never ever drop the computer. I ask how they judge the cause of the damage is by someone drop it. They said because they see a lot of the same case. I do not agree with them, and I think if it is happen a lot. The design has problem itself. This PowerBook G4 is expensive, and I only use less than one year the damage occured. They said if I want to repair it, it will cost me $600. I could buy another computer with that price. If you like PowerBook G4 12", just be aware this is a common problem that would happen within one year. One of the leg is on the battery. Now since the battery won't fit, the 4 leg won't stand correctly. This is just too bad. Full Review
