Never had to use customer service so I rated it right down the middle (3). Shipping is about the same as any on-line music store. I've used Musician's friend, Zzounds and music123. 123 is the best. Their prices are usually the lowest - they WILL beat anyone's online price! I've done it and they really do offer you a lower price (IF you can find one, which is almost impossible since they are so low to begin with). Their "outlet" equipment is incredible as well. I bought an outlet item (saved 200 bucks) and it was like new. No scratches or anything and works flawlessly (been used for the past 6 months). I recommend this site highly. Full Review

Music123 have some problems in their shipping department. They do take the full 48 hours before sending a ground shipment, they are tardy in updating the shipping status on line (you can call/email for your tracking number. When you order a wireless mic they let you specify the channel number/frequency! but then they ship the wrong frequency! (the packing list is correct and the actual product is wrong)

Initially bought the Powercore/Access Virus Bundle for $800. They sent me a used Powercore Element without the Access Virus Plug-In. Sent it back and stuck me with store credit, even though they couldn't give me the product I ordered specifically. So, I bought the TC Electronic Powercore only to receive another used on.

I ordered a guitar and a stand; both were to have been birthday gifts, and both were listed as "in stock." I received an e-mail indicating that both had shipped. The stand arrived but no guitar. When I tracked the order, FedEx confirmed that only the stand had shipped. I sent many e-mails, and received no replies. I tried many times to call, usually got a "All agents are busy, please call at another time," or was put on infinite hole -20 minutes of cell phone time! When I finally got through to a live person, they also confirmed that the guitar had not shipped, despite their message to me to the contrary. She could only tell me that ti would ship "sometime in a week or two." She was unable to help me expedite the order when I explained the rush, nor could she put a supervisor on the phone. Another horrible experience with Music123. There are numerous other outlets offering the same selection at the same prices, however, my experience has been that these other outlets are willing to ship items on time and to communicate with their customers, much unlike Music123. My CSR lied to me about giving me a 10% discont after my order had not arrived after 19 days (only 5% was refunded, and nobody will discuss this with me). I like to think that we the costumers are not at the mercy of such a rediculous outfit. That is why I am writing this review. Please, shop somewhere else as this is the only consolation for me and people like me who have been egregiously abused by such a worthless fly-by-night internet operation. Full Review

I placed my order for sheet music on 7/13/2005 and have yet to receive it (9/6/2005). It took weeks to get a response via email from custom service, 1+ hour hold times to speak with someone in customer service and all they can do is make excuses for their lack of delivery. First they say they are very busy and having to work weekends and over time just to answer the custom service requests. Next I hear that they are moving their warehouse which is why Ive not gotten the item yet. On top of it all they charged my card when I placed my order not when they shipped the item! I sure glad I just ordered sheet music and not a $2000 instrument of some sort. I would suggest avoiding them at all cost! Full Review

I just ordered a guitar fron 123 on 9/11, talked to customer service today after a 25 min hold and the woman there was useless, she told me my order could ship in a day or a week and a half, I said this is not acceptable but she offered no options just the excuse that they were moving their warehouse, I said then tell the people when they order to expect a longer than usual delivery time. I have emailed them 3 times with no response email, big surprise! I don't know what to do now I suppose I should cancel the order but it was a great deal, guess they got me between a rock and a hard place. I would at least wait to use this company until they get their warehouse issues worked out! Full Review

After waiting 3 weeks for an item that should have had next day shipping, I finally gave up. Trying to call customer service is an all day endeavor, and upon reaching them, they are totally useless. They couldn't even give me an idea when the item would possibly ship. My card was immediately charged, which I believe to be unorthodox, when most of the more reliable internet companies do not bill until they have shipped. I finally reached someone & cancelled my order, and am in the process of ordering elsewhere. Unfortunately, their ability to refund my account may also turn out to be a problem. This is a horrible company. They are relocating their warehouse, and the service is AWFUL. Shipments are backed up, no one will do anything about it, and my "In Stock" product is taking FOREVER to arrive. I am trying to cancel the order but they are not cooperating. DO NOT USE...RUN AWAY. I had always used Musicians Friend and will do it again. Music123 is not dependable.
