Emotions Revealed, Second Edition: Recognizing Faces and Feelings to Improve Communication and Emotional Life

    Waiting-reality
by brandonramos on February 20, 2019

Waiting is reality. Very difficult book. And further the review will describe my opinion and it is not entirely good, since the book is not mine. I anticipated that I would now get acquainted with the strong, scientifically grounded work of a unique person. After reading a few pages, I was a little disappointed. Perhaps I was expecting something different, and so I was disappointed. The book is sooooo much water, unnecessary information and unnecessary names. The author pays a lot of time to the facts that inspired him to write the book. When the preface comes to the moment when the action appears and the future luminary of science travels to New Guinea, a lot of unnecessary surnames fall upon the reader. At some point, the narrative style boils down to what some Dr. Stevensson said something, Professor McBrough, answered, and the intelligent man Johnson suggested. Who are these people??? During the reading, I constantly had to turn the pages back in case I missed some important person’s statements. Unfortunately, these names once met, no longer appear on the pages of books. Each chapter is devoted to a certain emotion and, in theory, the reader should learn something new and fundamental about each emotion, but no. The material presented in each chapter would be unique somewhere in the 60-70s of the last century, but not now. If I read about fear, I’m interested to learn something new and most importantly, how to manage it. In place of this, I am given information at the kindergarten level, that this emotion appears when the body is subconsciously afraid of being attacked, and the thesis in one sentence will be spoken about almost fifteen pages. In short, the book is not mine. Useful tips for writing reviews see on the site. Good luck reading books.

What Every BODY is Saying: An Ex-FBI Agent's Guide to Speed-Reading People

    Best Book Review
by brandonramos on February 20, 2019

I really read the original...What can I say? Very well, although of course the author mostly praises what a great cannibal he is, but nevertheless one cannot but admit that he gives a lot of useful information concerning non-verbal communication and how the “body” involuntarily tells what the mind tries to hide. Everything turns out to be completely easy if you pay attention to the details. But this is no longer the problem of the author, but the problem of the reader. We all read Conan Doyle and know the technique by which Sherlock Holmes worked - but try to apply it in practice! It’s not enough to know, it’s important to maintain a high degree of concentration on the person about whom you want to know, to notice the little things of his behavior, speech and so on. And this is not so easy. In one of the books, Paul Ekman (who also works in a similar direction) noticed that some facial expressions zip in a split second, and it is very easy to miss these moments. And the rest of the book is really interesting, gives a lot of useful. It is advisable to read to anyone who works with people. 101 Essays That Will Change The Way You Think

101 Essays That Changed The Way I Think
by shirleyfu on February 11, 2019

It's too simple to end it like this, too easy to surrender. I'm sorry but you do not make me sorry .. I would be sorry if you really were not able to do anything to get out of your situation. Unfortunately for you, however, the way out is there. Only you do not have the balls to take that road. 1) Study. Study like crazy. Throw yourself on the books .. feed your intelligence and your sensitivity (which is so great as to be noticed even through writing, or buy essay if you don’t like to write). Focus on the opportunities that life offers you ... anyone, even the most unfortunate man in the world has the opportunity to become someone. I could give you so many examples that I'd finish tomorrow night. You have the "fortune" of having suffered, anyone who has suffered has the gift of SENSIBILITY. One of the greatest gifts you can receive. Use your sensitivity, make it a tool to make a career. 2) Keep away from people. Keep away from it. You do not need their approval to live. The day you become someone you will get their hands free from envy. You will show everyone who you really are. WHAT YOU ARE ABLE TO DO. And the day you can say that you have done it, you will think back to the time when you wanted to commit suicide, and tell people about your life, teaching that you should never give up because there is always a way, a solution. 3) See it as a challenge: if God, or circumstances (depending on what you believe) have given you such a life, there must be a reason. It could be a test, have you ever thought about it? It is said that the trials become increasingly difficult depending on the potential of those who face them. I believe you must be really special if fate has imposed such a challenge on you. 4) All the greatest men in history, all the geniuses who made science were none other than people who had the courage to care less about the opinion of others. They are people who have gone beyond simple conventionality, have been able to assert their thoughts in the face of a sea of conflicting thoughts. And they won, because they were right. You just need to know that you are right to be sure that one day you will win, believe me. 5) You are not alone. If I were really alone I would not have replied to you. The fact that I answered you means that I care about you, I do not want you to take your life away. Just as your parents do not want you to take your life away, because they love you. They will always be there. You can not do them like that after all the efforts they have done to help you. 6) Believe in yourself.
