The Quartered Sea is one of the most engrossing stories that I have ever read. The world that Tanya Huff creates is vivid, the story of love, anguish, and power is a gripping tale that will not leave the mind and will have you coming back for more.

It is simply fantastic and a must read though I suppose you don't need me to tell that. The was Austen describes the feelings and shades of her character is simply amazing. Such perfection is almost impossible to achieve except for Dickens of course.
