Mansfield Park (Oxford World's Classics) Reviews
The Mansfield Review
Warning: If you've seen the movie before reading the book you may be disappointed, weather that disappointment stems from the movie or the book is really up to the reader.
This was a great book, fantastically written and great character development andIt's separated into three volumes. I highly recommend reading the Oxford version it has explanatory notes in the back and some indexes that are extremely helpful. The novel is full of intrigue and romance and is told from the perspective of the heroine, Fanny Price who is the privileged niece of the Bertams whom they decide to take in at an early age. She is brought up with education, manners, and grace and becomes close friends with her cousin Edmund, but life gets stirred up around Mansfeild after the Crawfords come to visit the parsonage.
