Three Men on the Bummel

it took me lot of time to read this book on line, searching for scraps of paragraphs embedded with numerous advertisements but it was well worth it. this is the first book i finished reading online. this book took me back to some other time, the good old germany before the war. as a shortwave monitor of radio Deutsche welle germany is part of my life. Though i have never been there i love that country, especially the memories; the first time i heard of it in the confines of unkept and dusty school rooms as an asian student, then bumping in to it through radio short wave again after i finished my secondary education. listening to deutsche welle i learn about contemporary germany yes, but jerome's illustrative narration reach the submerged german culture of the old days - something i would never be able to get even a feeling of, just by listening to their national radio. thanks jerome i enjoyed your book, erupted with laughter more often.
